Your payment
- Checkout is handled by Stripe. When you buy from Groundwork, you pay on Stripe's secure checkout page (buy.stripe.com). Your card details go directly to Stripe. They never pass through our website, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Stripe is independently certified. Stripe is audited every year and certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level in the payments industry.
- The price you see is the price you pay. Every project has a fixed price shown before checkout. No hidden fees. Stripe emails your receipt the moment you pay.
- We will never ask for your card number by email, phone or text. A real Groundwork payment request is always a buy.stripe.com link or a Stripe invoice. If you receive anything else, don't pay it; call us.
Your business information
To do good work, we sometimes need to see your numbers: revenue, expenses, financial statements, pricing or customer counts. We know that information is sensitive.
- We ask only for what the work needs. Before you send anything, we tell you which documents a project requires and why. Often a summary or a profit-and-loss statement is enough.
- Your files go to one private place. Each client gets a private folder on our Google Workspace business account, shared only with you by your email address. Public link sharing is turned off. Please don't email financial documents; we'll send you a link to your folder instead.
- Only Maverick sees them. Your files are reviewed only by Maverick Woodson, founder of Groundwork. We never share or sell your information, never use it in our public research, and never name you as a client without your written permission.
- Our accounts are protected. The accounts that hold your files use two-step verification.
- We delete your files when the work is done. Within 30 days after delivery, we delete your folder and email you to confirm. If you'd like us to keep your files for a follow-up project, just tell us in writing.
- You stay in control. You can ask at any time what we hold, ask us to delete it early, or close your folder.
What we never ask for
Social Security numbers, bank account or routing numbers, passwords, card numbers, or personal identification documents. If a message claiming to be from Groundwork asks for any of these, it isn't from us.
If something ever goes wrong
No system is risk-free. If we learn that your information may have been exposed, we will tell you promptly, explain what happened and what we are doing about it. This guarantee is our commitment to the practices on this page, and every client agreement includes a written confidentiality clause that says the same.
