Hypothetical example for Lakeview Family Medicine, a two-physician practice.
Lakeview Family Medicine is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant (Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). You'll room patients, take vitals, give immunizations, collect lab specimens and help keep our two providers on schedule. Certification (CMA, RMA or CCMA) and current BLS required.
Notice what makes it work: real hours, the actual tools, who they report to, and one honest reason to want the job. That’s the difference between a blank template and a job description that gets the right applicants.

Requirements, training and licenses
Most states don't require certification, but some require graduation from an accredited program, a license or other steps, and many employers prefer certified assistants. What a medical assistant may do, such as giving injections, depends on state law.
Training: Usually a postsecondary nondegree program; some learn on the job.
